Many people to thank, Marshalls, medics, team members, friends, fans, family that I really don't know where to start, a massive shout-out to my amazing wife @PetraByrne though, she is my world, my everything and never ever stops being by my side whilst bringing up or children
Update time.. apologies for putting this out so late but here's where I'm at.. I have 2 bruised lungs, all of my ribs fractured, 4 broken vertabrae, a broken neck in 2 places, broken septum, collarbone, multiple other back fractures, fortunately no paralysis which was a big....
Oh dear.. just got my phone for the first time since before setting off for FP1 last Thursday morning, looks like I have a few messages and e mails to respond too, update you all soon!!
Our thoughts are with @67Shakey, in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital under observation for a range of injuries, and @PetraByrne and family. Surgery to stabilise spinal fractures is planned for the beginning of next week. Further updates will be provided post surgery. ❤️

@PBM_Team @67Shakey remains in hospital following yesterday's test. He will undergo surgery on his vertebrae and possibly neck however will make a full recovery. Thank you all for your well wishes - we will keep you posted.
Medical update at 18:00: Shane Byrne was transferred to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital where he has undergone further assessment and scans this afternoon. He is conscious and alert but remains under observation and is receiving treatment for neck and back injuries.
