Students helped prepare some aquaponics and garden goodies for our fall festival tomorrow 🥰👨🏿‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾🧑‍🌾 It is going to be a great community event 😁🥳 @TerukoDobashi @pattoneducator @LRRUTLEDGE @LisaColbert10

Pedestrian bridge mini challenge: engineering+trick or treating safety+civil engineering careers... fun was had. Fail points and improvements were the focus. I've never seen kids so excited to see what didn't work 😂🥰🎃 @LisaColbert10

👀 at the white fly invasion up close... 4th grade knows an overabundance will lead to the loss of all their crops! Predator bugs to the rescue to balance populations. 🐞🕷 & praying mantis 🥳😎👩🏾‍🌾 @LisaColbert10

This is a fabulous idea... love it!

salinity.oceansciences.org/smap-salinity.… Data for claim, evidence, reason on why certain oceans have a + or - salinity 🫶 #CauseEffect 5th grade: high salinity = ⬆️buoyancy erosion of minerals = ⬆️salinity melting glaciers = ⬇️salinity Other reasons apply but 1 bit of evidence at a⏰! @DocSTEM

❤️ when teachers come together to help host a Snack & Paint fundraiser, we had as much fun as the kids. Thank you parents for volunteering and making this event a success! @LisaColbert10 @APSMAJ_Elem @pattoneducator

Kind of a big deal...for me at least! I successfully rebuilt the major components of my 3d printer and the test print was a success! I cannot wait to get back to 3d drafting and design with the students 🥰

Stop-motion with Canva😎4th grade has solved the mystery of why we have to keep adding 💧 to the aquaponics system & 🔎investigated the flow of energy in water as it changes states. Models are more fun when they move. @LisaColbert10 @pattoneducator @apsitjacque @APSMAJ_Elem

This cool creepy dude has to be close to 2 years old with how large it is!!! I only cringed a wee bit, promise 😂 @LisaColbert10 said she'd hold it aka snuggle/name/adopt it lmao

This is so cool... and also might be how I introduce this year's science and engineering fair to my students 😀

Holy mackerel! & other species 🐟 🐠 😂 Gyotaku art integration to explore external features and learn more about how 🐟 are adapted to survive in our aquaponics system and natural habitats. Fun was had by all in the STEAM lab today. @LisaColbert10 @pattoneducator @APSMAJ_Elem

Happy little 🌧 drops simulating their movement and clarifying that the water cycle does not have one start and end point! 🦌🏞🌲🏝☁️🌊🗻 @APSMAJ_Elem @LisaColbert10 @pattoneducator

Kinder was amazed at the textures and colors of the gourds and 🤯 to know their school garden produced them 👨🏿‍🌾👩🏾‍🌾 @LisaColbert10 @pattoneducator @APSMAJ_Elem

Evaluating nutrition deficiency based on leaf obersvations, adding nutrients, stabilizing Ph, & harvesting! YTD data collection has officially began. How much produce will we grow this year and what products should we make 🤔👩🏾‍🌾👨🏿‍🌾🧑‍🌾 @APSMAJ_Elem @pattoneducator @LisaColbert10

When you are doing a well chicken check, she gets the ripe tomato from the aquaponics system 😂 #WeAreDifferent @LisaColbert10 says hahaha absolutely in the best ways! #STEAMeducation for the 🏆 @APSMAJ_Elem @pattoneducator

Parents, teachers, & partners help to care for our garden & aquaponics over the summer. How exciting is it to see the success of hand pollinating, water management, aquaculture, and most importantly, community buy in and support 🥰 #MAJallDAY @pattoneducator @LisaColbert10
