In @AFARmedia's Epic Trips print issue, I wrote about trekking the Alps' largest glacier, the Great Aletsch in Switzerland. Even more thrilling? There's a little write-up about me on the contributors' page. My 25th AFAR article and my #1 outlet to work with. @adventuretweets

I’m entering hospice today. Will probably update every little if at all. But I wanted to say to be kind, be brave, be principled, be an idealist. Most importantly, be a decent human. I love that we existed together, in this moment of time.

1.5C is dead. 2024 will be the hottest year in at least 125,000 years. And a psychopathic climate denier is leading the most powerful country on Earth. What a time to be alive (if not for very long).

National newsroom leaders: I'm begging you to let your reporters work outside of New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and D.C. They'll have new experiences, understand the country (or the world) better, and almost certainly have more money in their pockets.

Will there be a journalistic brain drain in DC? A talent agent said what I've also heard anecdotally: A lot of reporters are "questioning if they have it in them to report on another Trump cycle."

I sent a text to friends this morning & some asked me to share more widely, so here it is 🧵: I woke up just feeling like he doesn’t get to take anything more from me than he’s going to take no matter what I do. If he kills us all, then I die. But he doesn’t get my mind too.

Countless Americans are endangered now on a scale and intensity almost unheard of in modern America. Our first responsibility is to protect these people and resist these forces.

Here's some good news: Kamala Harris is currently outperforming Joe Biden in the Philadelphia, Detroit, and Milwaukee suburbs.

If you plan on voting for Jill Stein or Trump because of the war in the Middle East, please watch and reconsider. It’s just 6 minutes and it’s worth the watch.

If you’re still on the fence about voting in this election, think about what really matters – about the values we were taught, the kind of country we want to be, and how this is a moment when your vote really does count.  Your vote could determine the fate of our republic – the…

Some people seem to have forgotten how bad a president Trump was, so I made a list of the 100 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency, in no particular order. Please share and add anything I missed. 🧵

All this amazing news about Puerto Ricans voting blue makes me so happy as I'm visiting my family— the Puerto Rican Rellihans in WA state right now.

And this is why I still love Twitter...er, I mean this place. People read here! We can't leave.

For @NatGeo I'm writing about two of my favorite things: travel books. Have a list so far, but any great travel books (published recently) I need to have on my radar? Fiction is OK too. #journorequest #travelbooks

This is what @realDonaldTrump and his people believe about Latinos and Puertoricans…and Haitians and Mexicans and actually about anyone that is not like them…..@KamalaHarris @TeamKamala will support Latinos and will work hard to be a President for all Americans! @Vegalteno

“There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico”

Jeff Bezos has forced The Washington Post - the newspaper he owns - to not endorse in a presidential race for the first time 36 years because he’s worried Donald Trump will take away his government contracts. RETWEET if you think @JeffBezos is a disgrace to democracy!

Two things I know: Jeff Bezos is bad and pre-election Twitter is toxic. I'm here to give out escapist book recommendations as long as you promise not to buy from Amazon.

The Washington Post editorial board should not resign. They should publish the endorsement and make Bezos fire them. #WashingtonPost
