Herein lies one of the main problems w/ #SB276: Pan thinks this is a CHOICE. A single mom having to quit 2 jobs & risk homelessness is not a choice. A dr says her kid needs a medical exemption but it won’t qualify under this bill. It’s COERCION. Period! @GavinNewsom #CAleg

Let's sum this up: California bill SB276 removes medical exemptions. If it passes: The patient cannot say no. The parent cannot say no. The doctor cannot say no. Only the lawmakers can say no. By voting no. If you sign this Mr. Governor, even YOU will not be able to say no.

Dear @AssemblyDems, welcome back! Please vote no on #SB276. The Amendments DO NOT broaden medical exemptions. Don’t let the author fool you. So many believe many exemptions will stand. They won’t and many families will suffer.
#nosb276 no one will qualify (unless they nearly die) and no doctor will write one. First the kids and then the adult mandates. The future is scary.
To be clear this bill targets 4,000 students with medical exemptions out of 4 million California children K-12 It’s intent is to strike fear in doctors Effectively eliminating medical exemptions with political red tape. Bravo.
