A few images from a church ruin I found on my last morning in Sweden. Built some time around the end of the 12th century, Ryr church fell into disuse when a new church was built nearby in 1875.

I realise a lot of people are leaving here for "the other place" - I've been on there a while, and although engagement is no better than here (basically zero) you can find me at bsky.app/profile/jamesb…

A couple of sea views from the pretty harbour village of Råå

Four more from the old brickworks I posted yesterday. The black and white images are from up on top of the kilns in the roof-space.

Today's Sweden find is the old brickworks at Gunnarp. Going from strength to strength through the first half of the 20th century, a fire in 1958 destroyed much of the site. Efforts were made to turn it into a tourist attraction in the mid 1990s, but today it sits quietly.

Another old mill in Sweden. Gundrastorps kvarn sits on a small river just east of Vittsjö. Apparently in use until around 1958, and restored in 1976.

Today's shot from Sweden is this small lake (big pond?) I found - quick roadside grab.

Buried deep in a remote forest in Sweden, you'll find this unusual ruin. It was actually to be the library for nearby Hovdala Castle, and work began sometime in the latter half of the 18th century. It was never completed however.

Taken just before yesterdays photo, but looking in the other direction. The boats leaning against the trees added a bit of interest to each side of the first image, and the diving board to the second (no, I didn't try it).

A peaceful view for today. I'd woken with a bad headache so took myself down to Åsljungasjön - the water was nice and calm as the sun came up.

A view from the mill in yesterday's shots towards the opposite bank. I rather liked the lone yellow tree amongst the green, and this viewpoint gives a nice angle onto the waterfalls.

He's now rambling about rocket paint. How?! How the fuck did we get to a point where so many people are so utterly stupid to vote for someone like Trump?

Knared Mill - I believe this dates from around 1927, and for these views I used the drone. More pictures from "ground level" tomorrow...

I rather liked this collection of mailboxes on the side of a barn in Sweden. Guess it makes it easier for the postman.

More from the forests of Sweden. One of the trails had this cute little wooden bridge to get over the river.

The last couple of Sweden sets were a bit gloomy, so I thought I'd post the lighthouse today. I'd hoped for a clearer sky to get some nice stars but I still like the result.

At the side of the road, deep in the forests of southern Sweden, this bent propellor can be found. Mounted on a wooden plinth, it serves as a memorial to the crew of an RAF Lancaster bomber which crashed here in 1944.
