President Salva Kiir has removed Akol Koor as the head of National Security and reappointed him as governor of Warrap State. Akech Tong, the former governor of Warrap and the Undersecretary of Veteran Affairs, has taken Koor's old job.

On Sep. 13th, #SouthSudan's govt., extended the 2018 peace accord for two years and postponed the Dec. polls. The govt., needs regional leaders to endorse this. Oil production, halted by the war in #Sudan early this year, needs to resume to fund the extended administration.
