I’m in tears of joy. Thank you @HoustonTexans for honoring my brother Fred Faour. Such a class act. This warms my broken heart. Class act.
I’m still blown away by the Texans’ tribute to Fred Faour, Ken Hoffman and Mark Lane, all of whom died this year. They would have been embarrassed but appreciative of being recognized in the pressbox.

I worked with Fred Faour at the Chronicle and Gallery Sports. He was an excellent editor, writer and sports talk show host. I knew him since he was 8. He father, Fred Sr., was one of my first mentors at the Chron. R.I.P., Fred.
