I haven't been posting much lately. Over a year ago I cofounded @kortexco with @thedankoe and @TheMatthewAo It's cliche to say... but it's been the most exciting, challenging, and rewarding experience of my life (so far). Yesterday we started a new chapter: We began the…

If you can't get anything done because you don't know what to do first: - Write down your to-dos (on paper) - Pick 3 of the highest priority tasks - Focus on 1 of those priorities today This will clear your mind so you can actually get something done.

The human brain is wired to care more about negativity than positivity. This "negativity bias" was a survival advantage for our ancestors. But what kept us safe then keeps us stressed now.

"What if I fail?" Bruh what if you succeed? Stop letting potentially failing trick you into definitely failing (because you never even tried).

The brain is the most complex object in the known universe. Some people use it to argue about politics on the internet. Be better.

Harsh truth of being a creator: If you try to be liked by everyone, then you'll be ignored by everyone. Write for the people you care about - and stop worrying about all the people you don't.

Kids have imaginary friends. Adults have imaginary haters. Other people aren't judging you. They're too focused on themselves to care about anything you're doing.

A pattern I've noticed in productive people: They prioritize their energy, focus, and mental clarity. You have to be your best self to take care of everything (and everyone) that's important to you.

You're never able to come up with new ideas because you're always stressed. The brain won't ideate for the future when it's focused on surviving the present. Maximizing your creativity requires minimizing your stress.

Your actions today affect: - Tomorrow's mood - Tomorrow's focus - Tomorrow's energy - Tomorrow's productivity - Tomorrow's mental clarity Do what you want today - but remember how it can affect what you want tomorrow.

3 months left in the year. 90% of people have given up on their goals for 2024. It's not too late to join the 10% who actually make progress.

15 minutes of journaling will teach you more about yourself than any self help book.

Psychology is the most powerful skill you can learn. It helps you understand yourself. It gives you insight into human behavior. It pairs with any other topic you can study. Learning how the mind works will benefit you in all areas of life.

You aren't making progress toward your goals because you aren't the person who can achieve those goals. Changing your life requires a change in identity, habits, and thoughts. What got you here won't get you there.

Changing your habits won't instantly change how you feel. It takes days (or weeks) of consistency before you see any benefits. Keep yourself from falling back into your old ways so you can rise to new heights.

Unpopular fact: It's not "selfish" to take care of yourself. Taking care of yourself helps you take better care of everything and everyone else.
