Whenever a report with speculative information surfaces about a high profile athlete being injured, woke sports med twitter inevitably opines about how said athlete's career would have been salvaged but for XYZ. Assumption is generally that athlete and his/her team are inept.

Not sure energy changes drastically, more health and perceived responsibility.
