Will this be how future historians explain how fascism came to America? The election this year is a key inflection point, as Munich was for Hitler in 1938. It's impossible not to read the Heritage Project 2025 study without fear that the trend toward fascism is far advanced.
I remember once reading The Origins of the Second World War by AJP Taylor. He made the argument that the allies really caused the war by letting Hitler get away with stuff when a little bit of force would have stopped him. By the time force was finally applied, it was too late.
