My first single-authored paper is out in @Peasant_Journal w/#OpenAccess. It explores how land shapes women's agency across intersecting identities after the genocide in #Rwanda, and theorises the nexus between land dispossession and gendered violence👇 doi.org/10.1080/030661…

I consider it a privilege to publish my first article with JPS whose reviewers offered sharp & constructive feedback. But, if you ask me for one tip to publish with JPS, I'd say prepare a Spotify list of Marxist music or this one called F* academia it will never love you back...

Stop talking immigration as the scapegoat to cover the real problems. The series of far-right riots reveals how impoverished and desperate the people are. What people need are healthcare, education, pension and food on the table. Invest in the people, not in war and violence!

"I'm proud to be working class, and I'm proud to be anti-racist working class as well!" Love this woman - interviewed by @novaramedia in Barnsley today ❤️

Thanks @ASAUK_News for making my dream come true:so lucky to be on the panel with people whom I have been reading for so long.I won’t expect everyone to be there (it’s the last panel) but the panellists are just so cool! I will present my book project & hope to see many of you 🙌

Citizen Advice was among the last few free public services left in the welfare state. I am horrified to see this burnt down in Sunderland by the far right 😠

The place set alight last night was Citizens Advice, Sunderland. Its manager this morning told me they’re devastated and now trying to figure out how to help the people they were supposed to see #sunderland

In my two years convening Queer Theory at Exeter, my students wrote thought-provoking essays, asked difficult questions in classes, and some of them pursued Gender or Critical Theory-related MAs because of QT. It’s a shame to see such an MA gone. Absolute vandalism.

Goldsmiths has decided to terminate my employment as part of a devastating restructure. With no specialist staff, this means the closure of the MA Queer History, the world's only MA degree of its kind. This is an afront to my students, colleagues, and community. It is vandalism.
