‘The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart.’ Helen Keller John & Louise Ayre’s talented 10yo BASMATI by Grafenstolz is enjoying his cuddles before being tacked up for work. Have a lovely Sunday, everyone! 😊

Tuning into mouth issues: grinding teeth, tongue over the bit, tongue out flapping about are usually stress reactions to feeling trapped and or held back. Its an emotional issue and not a bit or nose band issue. Big difference!

Before asking for transitions do you wait for your horses weight to be in the right place?

All horse riders will want this all naturally based sunscreen this summer! Cheap and in easy to transport tins - horse dust and shaving proof friendly!!! syrupandsalt.co.uk

Trust your horse and he’ll trust you <3

X C tip- when you walk the course its usually empty of crowds - try to visualise it with people and fence stewards milling around! One less unexpected thing during your ride!

Dont worry about mental blocks of how to perform a given move or test. The best plan of attack to deal with mental blocks is to apply mental strategies such as relaxation, self-talk, emotional management, focus, trust. Brush up these skills now before the season begins!

As you start to prepare for the 2019 competitive season remember to “expect the unexpected”. Work through in your minds eye “what you will do....if such n such happens” - this will boost your confidence and help you remain focused if things dont go to plan.
