Happy World Orangutan Day everyone!🥳🥳 These beautiful creatures’ homes and lives are being destroyed by the effects of deforestation and the palm oil industry. We need to make change happen and protect these animals before it’s too late! Asha and Jia x

The worldwide orangutan population has halved in the past 60 years, while 55% of their natural habitats have been destroyed in the past 20 years.

This is where it's all at. I trust we can't be stupid enough to let it happen (can we?) but an ice-free Antarctic means sea levels 60+ metres (~ 200ft) higher. theguardian.com/world/2023/aug…

We need climate and environmental justice. It is time for extractive companies and governments to stop destroying and start paying for the loss or damage they have caused to lives, homes, livelihoods, language and culture. #ExtremeWeather greenpeace.org/international/…

palm oil is in around 50% of consumer products. it's destroying rainforests, it's bad for your health...... ...and most people have never even heard of it.

Pakistan has biggest glacial reservoirs outside poles, which are fastly depleting. With less than 1% of the world’s carbon emission, it is suffering the biggest consequences of climate change as 5th most climate-vulnerable country in the world #ClimateActionNow

500m of rain fell in just 24hrs in Beijing, China triggering intense flash flooding that swept away bridges, roadways and cars. This is the planet on 1.2ºC of fossil fuelled heating. Do we really want to find out what comes next, or are we ready to take BOLD #ClimateActionNow?

🌍💨From the products we use to the methods we employ, they release pollutants like CO2, leading to a warming atmosphere. Let's be mindful of our actions and embrace sustainable alternatives to safeguard our beautiful planet for future generations. #ClimateActionNow

1 football pitch of rainforest is destroyed every 2 seconds 137 species of animal go extinct every day. if humans continue continue to destroy the world at this rate, all rainforests could be destroyed within 100 years. ignoring it isn't gonna help xx #ClimateActionNow
