Long been thinking about how geographical theory has "impact" in planning. This article in @antipodeonline on how "segregation" is framed in the Sorgenfri area in Malmö is a first attempt to conceptualize what happens when theory is translated to practice onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

Tom hasn’t done even the most basic research into the case. And the video he links hasn’t either. More than one thousand council rent homes have been replaced on the footprint of the estate with just over 100 social rent homes, which are more expensive with less secure tenancies

The story of Elephant & Castle is a great example of estate regeneration. Every postwar estate in London should go through this process. Every council tenant can be homed in new redevelopment; density, greenery, beauty will rise; and huge revenue will be raised in the process.

At this point “no confidence” is not a weighty political decision at @columbia it is simply a description of any reasonable person’s state of mind.

This piece by @hashtagoras, one of the heroes of the current moment, does so much more than account for the months of terrible decisions Columbia has made regarding Palestine. It's also a profound meditation on what a liberal arts education is actually for thenation.com/article/societ…
