Among the many interesting findings, the reduced odds of receiving any treatment for non-White and Hispanic persons is jarring.

Despite all of the talk of opioid reduction and nonpharmacological management of chronic pain. The needle has only nudged to ~12% of patients getting PT and 4% OT. Trends in Use of Opioids vs Nonpharmacologic Treatments in Adults With Pain, 2011-2019. ja.ma/3tj3Zvx

Another interesting findings here was the variability in LBP-spending between patients who did or did not receive early PT by state. In some states early PT resulted in higher spending, in other states less spending. Opportunity to identify factors associated with cost savings.
