As I've commented previously, I am doing Bone Mineral Density studies on ever younger men and women with Long Cövid. There are multiple contributors.

The femoral head is a single ended vascular supply. One artery in. Very susceptible to damage, whether that's a fracture or steroids. Avascular necrosis of the femoral head is an unpleasant complication.

PDE5 inhibitors have been a game changer for my LC. I have been on them for 18 months. They were designed to treat broad spectrum micovasular disease by taking a low daily dose. Pfizer increased it to a mega dose for ED and that’s where the side effects happen.

Incredibly disappointing data. #LongCovid prevalence in China at 10%-30%. Acute illness during reinfection is more mild, but leads to greater chance of #LongCovid. This is a well vaccinated population that was mainly infected during omicron. thelancet.com/journals/lanwp…

Do not let anyone convince you that you need to get sick to be healthy. This is very silly. While the day we fully understand the immune system will probably never come, there are a few things we can say for sure about how exposure to microbes impact your immune health...

COVID-19 may cause severe illness by attacking the endothelial cells that line its victim's blood vessels. Studies have shown extensive vascular damage and clots in COVID-19 victims, with significantly more clots than those seen in H1N1 flu victims. science.org/content/articl…

Long Covid is caused by the disruption of the peripheral tissue blood supply. This disruption in turn is caused by both microvascular loss and by hemodynamic decrease. Tissue blood supply in post-Covid patients was reduced by half. mdpi.com/2075-1729/14/9…
