The police at @USouthFlorida are now using rubber bullets and tear gas to combat peaceful protests. What is wrong with you, USF.

MY students at @USouthFlorida are sending me these videos that they took of your police harming students. I am beyond disgusted. @ACLU has made it clear you are preventing the right to protest.

Does anyone have good computer literacy exercises for students? I’ve noticed students are struggling with file navigation/management, saving/naming files, and computer functions (copy, paste, etc.).

Hey Geopeeps! My lab has been using Trimble Geo 7X handheld units with students and labs, but are becoming outdated. Does anyone have recommendations for a newer, comparable handheld GPS unit?

My 2nd semester freshmen started their lab today working w R and RStudio. Expected it to take them the two weeks, but most groups are >85% done already! Super impressed with how quickly they picked it up and how their mentality about coding changed! Time for coding challenges!

FRI poster session today! So proud of my First- and Second-Year students!

Hey Geopeeps! I’m trying to get licenses of NV5 ENVI software for my students to use in their project, but the company has been non responsive after contacting them 3 times. How should I reach out so I can get the software for my students?

How is it that more than half the players have not pet Torgal 5 times!? I pet him after everything. Take down an enemy? Good boy! Remind me where I’m going? Best boy! I don’t trust the players that don’t have this trophy yet.

Geopeeps, What software packages do you use for near-surface geophysics equipment (GPR, Seismo, EM, etc.)? How much do the licenses cost?

The year is 1998 and I’m quickly trying to finish up work stuff in preparation for the release of Pokémon. Wait…that’s also today.

Great post about mental load and trying to distribute load more evenly.

a while ago, I learned about the mental load — and created a comprehensive guide to cleaning! Check it out if you haven’t! #mentalload An old post 🧵1/7

Hey, Twitter! I have a question for those in environmental fields. A student in my intro class is really interested in nuclear energy (enviro side, not engineering). What opportunities are there for them to work in nuclear energy from the environmental side?
