Here’s the truth. If a politician claimed loudly that cigarette smoking was actually good for you, he might be popular with smokers, but he would still be 100% wrong and irresponsible. That’s basically what Ford is doing. Calling something “common sense“ doesn’t make a lie the…
We’re bringing sanity back to bike lane decisions to get drivers moving again. The 1.2 per cent of people who commute by bike shouldn’t be clogging primary roads for the over 70 per cent of people who drive. It’s just common sense.
The advice I like to give anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going…
Inbox: Group rep'ing merchants in the Bloor-Annex corridor tell @fordnation that bike lanes help businesses: “Are we building highways or are we building main streets? Because highways don’t encourage main street economic activity.”
13 years later, @xkcd, 13 years!
Folks it's 2024 and the new NIST draft for digital identity is asking you to STOP the madness of 30/90 days password resets and moving it from a recommendation → to a REQUIREMENT Microsoft admins here's what you need to do: → Turn on risk based conditional access policy →…
How appropriate is it that @DirtyTesLa appears to be the one who came up with the ASS acronym. Earliest reference I remember seeing!
With that said, Tesla has been working on beta on highways since the beginning of the year. It was supposed to come in an early V10 build but ended up being delayed and still hasn't been released. Hopefully we also get ASS (actually smart summon). That would be quite the update!

If you use @SlackHQ, this is very bad. By default Slack is using all your internal convos to train their AI stuff. You can opt-out of this (allegedly) by sending an email to feedback@slack.com with your workspace URL as content and "Slack Global model opt-out request" as the…
#FSDbeta 12.3 in Toronto - still hasn’t fixed the California style highway on-ramp merges - which are dangerous / unexpected behaviour here. It can’t wait till the last minute - it should merge as soon as it can. @DriveTeslaca
#FSDBeta 12.3.2.1 in Toronto. Definitely a huge improvement, but still a lot of disengagements. Going straight in a left turn lane. Same intersection, going left from straight lane. Going so slow I get honked at. I have yet to have a zero disengagement drive.
#Iceland volcano erupts. 4km fissure and likely still growing. Worst case for town of Grindavik. Closest video so far: ruv.is/frettir/innlen…
So the @407ETR is now using the transponder in your car to track you in other places. Technically you have to agree to it, but this means they ARE scanning all transponders, and then "throwing the non opted-in data away"?
So only 0.5% of people in Tesla’s dataset actually come to a full stop at stop signs. They had to override the training to act in an un-human way.
I'd heard that GPT-4's image analysis feature wasn't available to the public because it could be used to break Captcha. Turns out it's true: The new Bing can break captcha, despite saying it won't:
