Sometimes web development is like building a Lego set, but the instructions are written in Etruscan and every piece is a slightly different shade of gray." 😂👨‍💻👩‍💻🔨🏗️

It feels good to move updates into Production!!! It's even better yet when the users haven't noticed the app changed. LOL

When you are creating software tests are you creating them only to pass? Don't test only the "Happy Path" real life is more like the "Convoluted Path"

Are you confused about what changes you've made in your current set up updates from the last set? Maybe atomic commits aren't such a bad thing after all 😆

AI is an important tool, but if you are trying to use it to avoid learning the Web Dev concepts you need as a Developer.......what kind of Developer will you become?

This seems almost too simple! I find refactoring easier in Svelte due to file-based routing. Creating a new component is just a matter of creating a new file in the directory & splitting the code from the original. I don't recall it being as straightforward in other frameworks

Most technical doc is like this....

This is hilarious and describes the current state of ZK education

Users worry about what they need, Developers worry about how it gets done. When talking to users make sure you are speaking their languages.

Couldn't agree more with this @DThompsonDev It emphasizes the importance of rigorous and structured testing too

No matter how bad your day is going as a software engineer, it can't be as bad as creating a bug that literally stopped all the flights in America lol

How many times have you noticed your app is passing missing data to a BE - only to discover you have a function that's missing a 'return' statement?

The reason I enjoy developing using Sveltekit is it's so straightforward. This isn't the same as 'simple', but I find it to be more readable and I can code faster in it than in other FE frameworks. IMHO 😀

👋🏼 Who is hosting @sveltejs meetups? Reply if you want to organize one, or need help with one. If you have an office/venue to host, PLEASE offer it! It's ALWAYS needed! For London, @spences10! For NYC, @antonio_lofiego! For Brazil, @sveltebrasil! For Japan, @SvelteJapan!

How are you celebrating Friday the 13th? I'm upgrading an app with new automated tests. It seem like the thing to do to prevent issues...

That feeling when you blow through your routine daily tasks and have the majority of the day left to work on your passion project

If I issue `npm pull origin...` instead of `git pull origin...` one more time I'm going to scream!

I've been trying out the Headwind VSC extension for ordering TailwindCSS classes and so far I find it very helpful --> marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…
