The response from Ontarians shows that family physicians are essential to the health of their patients. It’s been heart-warming to read how much patients value their family doctors.

More than 750 family doctors from across Ontario are being recognized by their patients and the Ontario College of Family Physicians for the outstanding care they provide. 🔗ontariofamilyphysicians.ca/news/local-fam…

The Ontario government must recognize the essential role of family doctors. The care and expertise they provide cannot be replaced, and compensation should reflect their true value to patients and the health system. See OCFP's statement:ontariofamilyphysicians.ca/news/ocfp-stat…

More than 4 million Ontarians could be without a family doctor by 2026 but family doctors know what needs to be done. The time for action is now! See below for more. 👇

There are already 2.3 million Ontarians who do not have a family doctor. Forecast shows that will only get worse. There is still time to change course and reverse this disturbing trend—but it will require urgent action from the Ontario government. bit.ly/45Jaqcb

There is hope that we can prevent more family doctors from leaving the profession but urgent action is needed!

New survey findings point to an urgent need for dramatic red tape & administrative reductions to provide immediate support to Ontario’s family docs. Without quick action, Ontario could see an exodus of family docs closing their clinics or reducing hours: bit.ly/43whecs

Urgent action must be taken! Family doctors should not be spending 19/hours on paperwork.

On this World Family Doctor Day, we are calling for urgent red tape reductions and administrative support to ensure family doctors have more quality time to spend with patients. Read more: bit.ly/3MGG7MT
