The market alone can't fix the housing crisis, public interventions, like the ones we're proposing here in Pittsburgh, are necessary to create housing for all. Don't take my word for it - ask the @HarvardBiz: hbr.org/2024/09/the-ma…

Very excited about @MayorEdGainey's proposals to promote new housing construction while also ensuring affordable options across all Pgh neighborhoods. As a whole, this package of zoning changes will make it easier and less expensive to build both large projects and additional…

We’ve been laying the groundwork to respond to challenging budget circumstances over the last 3 years. While a 5.5% reduction in revenue presents a challenge, it is one we’ve been preparing for, and one that we can handle. content.govdelivery.com/bulletins/gd/P…

Pittsburgh has lost a giant. Tim's reporting was my first education in local government. Years later, after a '21 election that saw us on opposite sides, he was the first member of team Peduto to reach out and offer his support and advice. This town won't be the same without him.

Today, our city mourns the loss of community leader Timothy McNulty. Tim served as a dedicated political reporter for 18 years, as former Mayor Bill Peduto’s Director of Communications, and most recently as the Communications Director for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Today we announced tax exemption appeals against 104 properties to ensure that our tax system is fair and that we have the resources to keep our neighbors safe and thriving. If working families and seniors can do their part, so can the most profitable organizations in town.

We MUST make sure our city has the resources it needs to pave our roads, pick up the snow, open our pools, and give our residents the services they deserve. This means that if you do not meet the standard as defined by the State Supreme Court, you should pay your fair share.

Fantastic news and a strong affirmation of our city's financial health and resiliency:
