Things have just got a lot more difficult . Here’s what I think . I had no control over what just happened . None . But I do have control over how I will react to it . And I am not going to give up on the beautiful and the good , the grip on my dreams just got tighter .

John Burnside really was an absolute fucking master.

Promoting previously unheard voices is important work. Im hugely thankful that mine is one in the new edition of 14 magazine. Launch on October 6th at the Turner Gallery, 11am.

An ethos of Vanguard Editions has always been a commitment to promote new voices &, in that spirit, I’m pleased to publish in this issue new work by previously unpublished/emerging poets @RuralUnease @jahshabby Winfried Leopoldt @beckymaywriter Jenny Sanders & Richard Sharland.

For the two or three people who actually see my posts, here's a thing I'm in. Along with my dad. Which is, y'know, nice... in a mildly terrifying kinda way.

The new issue of #14magazine is now available at just £7 incl. UK p&p. Featuring brand new work by: Details of how to purchase your copy: richardskinner.weebly.com/14-magazine

We're giving this one last push. Thank you to everybody who has supported us so far by buying a book or sharing this around. You've all been amazing, and this is indicative of the strength of collaboration. brokensleepbooks.com/books

A week of ups and downs. On the one hand, I had a knockback on a couple of poems I'd submitted. On the other, I've edited them so much in the meantime, they're the lyric equivalent of Trigger's Broom. A win on subsequent admin, I guess.

Twitter is like shouting into an abandoned canyon given my reach, but... I'm reading this Sunday alongside some great poets and fantastic art at the Pie Factory, Margate. A good way to celebrate another year down in the race to the ultimate lie down. facebook.com/events/s/stick…

My super-talented nephew is up for best indie comic. Check out Sagas of the Shield Maiden, see just how 'kin good it is and then vote - easiest decision you'll have to make this year.

I can't quite believe it but Sagas of the Shield Maiden has been nominated for Best Indie comic!

Ministers last week rushed an amendment through the Commons, allowing it to look into the bank account of everybody claiming State Pension. Their only reason was that it might be useful one day. The only change which could make it useful would be to means test the State Pension

It would take about 12 days to count to 1 million. It would take 100 years to count to a billion. It would take 2500 years to count to 25 billion.

Tate, Musk and now Jim Davidson. It's just Harry Macguire away from being the worst defence in history.

I've stopped writing reviews, but @talktopeters Red Sunset Dreams was one of the highlights of last year. This version of Sundowning, which closes the LP, is astonishing. Plus, if you buy it, you'll be helping make the world an easier place to navigate for many. Have a look.

I've just made the donation to @DementiaUK for the 'Sundowning' live at @silverbandroom release in memory of my Nan, Lil. Many thanks to everyone who bought the track and to those who donated extra⭐️I'll continue to donate as sales comes in : mark-peters.bandcamp.com/track/sundowni…

I don't tweet as a rule. Consequently, my tweets are seen by something like 5 people. This is for one of them in particular. My subscription to Private Eye continues to be the best example of self care I've ever exhibited.
