first 6 games: 16/10/4 on 49% TS last 6 games: 22/11/6 on 58% TS - finishing around the rim much better (74% in the restricted area up from 65%) - much better catch and shoot guy (36% on C&S threes, up from 24%) turns 23 in a month
What's driving me insane is there's things that are measurable that people are saying would be better with him that weren't great with him. ESPECIALLY when PJ Washington wasn't on the team or didn't play
Funniest part of this 5-7 start to the season is that Dallas would still be just as disappointing with DJJ but we have to pretend the role player defensive wing is the difference right now
Poole did much more for us and never got this treatment, this is type crazy.
EXCLUSIVE: How Brandin Podziemski (@brandinpodziem2) has become invaluable to the Warriors and Steph Curry's quest to basketball immortality. "If he is to get that fifth ring he is searching for, it puts him in a whole different category of greatness..." clutchpoints.com/exclusive-bran…

Luka is playing poorly by his standard and deserves criticism for the pitiful defensive effort. But he’s certainly going to play much better in the long run. On both ends. I wouldn’t be in a rush to bury him.
There’s just no way you think I guy like this is the second best player in the nba. Even if he is spectacular on offense.
Nah how we lose that game man just looking at the boxscore that’s such a nasty L
Mavs fans, how would you describe Luka Doncic’s start to the season?
4/10, not gonna go as far as some and act like he is the only reason the team is 5-7 right now but he's been well below any level of expectation you could have had for him after last year

It's a shame everyone basically wrote of Jordan Poole. He's averaging: 22.2 PTS on 61.3 TS% 4.4 AST, 2.3 STL And he's doing it only 30.7 MPG. Here's everyone to clear his PTS/AST/STL per 36 for a full season before: Michael Jordan
Not me tho 🤷🏻

Kidd rolled out Dwight AND Lively minutes last night…his rotations (with or without injuries) remain mind-boggling to me
Hardy took the Mavs deal and has since shot 35% from the floor, 26% from three with 15 made baskets this season to go along with 14 assists and 14 turnovers. Neat! Dallas gave Dinwiddie a min deal. His stats: 33% from the floor, 28% from three. 14 made baskets. Only 7 TOVs!
Debate with stan accounts re: the last play all you want, but the real stinger from last night is the Mavs allowed one second chance point for every defensive rebound they secured against a Kessler-less Jazz club. Have simply gotta be better than that as a team in this league.
Bro on my life you make us all look bad please stop
I zoomed into that crucial posession: Watch Sweeney confusing Luka mid play. This is 100% on Sweeney, but Luka took the blame.
look i've gotten shameless defending players before, especially since i'm big fan of a lot of sub-all-nba players. but i dont think ive ever been this shameless

Marshall’s floater on the other hand, has been quite impressive. His in-between game is his biggest strength. 3-point shooting does not appear to be, despite career shooting numbers last season.
Naji Marshall has had some horrendous misses from the corner 3-pointer this season, including last night’s final attempt. They should probably put him in a different spot on the floor in such situations going forward.
