It was a great couple of days at the #oklegislature. They passed SB362-The Strong Readers Act, which bans the harmful three-cueing practice of reading instruction, provides additional literacy screening, and adds intervention plans for struggling readers.

SB358, a bill to remove the 1-year public enrollment requirement for the Lindsay Nichole Henry Scholarship, has passed the Oklahoma Senate Education Committee by a vote of 8-4. The bill now heads to the Senate Appropriations Committee for a hearing. #OKleg, #Oklaed #Okgov
Yesterday, LB 753, the Opportunity Scholarships Act, passed #Nebraska’s Legislature’s Revenue Committee, on a 6-2 vote. This tax credit scholarship will now see a floor vote. One step closer to helping families have more #choice!
