I don't post much, but completely agreed. A ban on SM is not a thought through response.

It’s not. See 2 major scientific reviews in Lancet - top medical journal. Pop psychology books are not evidence.

Excited to announce a cool milestone: my first PhD paper has been published in @healthpsychrev! 😀 Our review is on physical activity interventions for the promotion of mental health outcomes in at-risk children and adolescents. You can read it here: doi.org/10.1080/174371…

My first paper of 2024, titled "Parents on the concept of physical literacy: What do they know, what do they do, and what do they want?" has been published in Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology. Read it ahead of print here: doi.org/10.1123/jsep.2…

Another PhD Lessons blog post is up! Today is the second (and final) part of Lesson 8: Red Flags. It's about changes you, as the student, can make. (The first part was red flags regarding supervisors - something I didn't really experience). Check it out: ivanjeftic.com/2024/04/03/phd…

While I'm job hunting, I've decided to keep myself busy and start a blog about exercise, health, and tips from personal experience for future PhD students. There's a few blog posts on there already, with daily new posts coming up. Feel free to visit it: ivanjeftic.com

Amazing read, especially for all my friends becoming career researchers :) Thank you @MeganTeychenne!

Dear ECA self: What I wish I knew starting out as an ECA knowing what I know now This is probably the most raw and honest blog I have written… which absolutely made it the most FUN to write! @CAPHIA1 caphia.com.au/eca-blog-dear-…

November was pretty good for me! I got engaged ❤️ and finished my PhD viva voice with no revisions required 🧑‍🏫 Then I presented upcoming research (and a poster) from my thesis @SMHR conference in Perth. Thanks everyone for the support @PAHL_Group_UWA @MHEXUWA @UWAhumanscience

Yesterday I submitted my PhD thesis! Too many people to thank for all the support. Lots of lessons learned, but amazing memories made. Stay tuned for more research to come!

Exercise is medicine. New study finds: Running EASY for 45 minutes, 2-3 days a week for 16 weeks had similar effectiveness on mental health as anti-depressants. Get outside and get going: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
