A 12 year old girl was abducted and killed and a 70 year old woman was killed in her home less than a week apart. Like there’s no way we can just go on like business as usual in regard to this crime situation.

This is a very nuanced conversation obviously and multiple things can be true. But the fact that I’ve seen more commentary surrounding the mother’s alleged negligence than outrage towards the perpetrator of this heinous crime is pretty telling.
Unrelated but related: We quick to call women horrible mothers (whiles not offering the village support needed) but also quick to demonize them (and make it illegal) if they want to get an abortion for a baby they don't want.
anytime I come across anybody that's anti-abortion, I ask them when was the last time they did shit for a child they're not related to. my hit rate is 100%.
