Part of the reason the wealth gap hasn’t changed is because of where we choose to buy our homes. We are trained to buy where it’s “safe”. Usually the suburbs. Where the market values are stagnant, or increase in small increments.
Whats the point in saying you are buying the block, if you are planning to sell it soon as you get it? You are just a middle man facilitating the same wealth transfer. You just get paid in the middle. Kinda like a “catcher”.
Lets talk solutions. Immediately buy up everything around the gentrification to protect the residents. Then find ways not to raise their rents. @invstr_ on Twitter. @ chrissenegal on everything else.

Flipping houses that only white or higher earning Black ppl can afford in low income neighborhoods isn’t revitalizing the hood. It’s expediting gentrification. You’re not investing in the hood. You’re using the hood to invest in yourself. It’s whatever... but call it what it is.
