Looks like the 016th district commander is out as of 16Jul and will be replaced by the 024th district commander. Word is she was demoted to back to lieutenant, although it’s unsure if that part is true, but the change in commander is confirmed. @CPD1617Scanner

The 016th district needs to have its boundaries changed. It’s too big for it to be so understaffed and so poorly run. No reason to have the borders it does. It’s not the south or west side, but it’s far from La-La Land.
A reminder that the "Detached Services Unit" on the Chicago Police Department, which houses the mayor's protection detail, has over 150 officers assigned to it. The 16th district, which covers the far NW side, has 228 officers assigned to it for over 200,000 citizens.
Remember when the blue heavy, far left wing citizens of this “great” city swore there were no issues on Michigan Avenue? Now the Sun-Times are writing articles like this? Don’t say we didn’t tell you so. 🤷♂️

Homicide at approximately 5316 N Cicero that occurred around 0445HRs on 016s side. Unsure of where the victim was hit at the moment, but there was so much blood that it pooled in the bottom of the car and seeped through the floorboard onto the pavement. No CFD needed - 0110.
