I'm sure this chant was historically followed by a peaceful resolution between the tribes, and never resulted in war, rape, murder, or pillaging of villages... Right? Euopeans certainly didn't come in and give them a system of government to peacefully resolve such situations...
The politition this was directed at said afterwards "I saw a haka, but I didn't hear any arguments" 😅 Our parliament is a circus, one of the dancers once wore a pink cowboy hat into parliament.
The Haka is a declaration of intent to violence. Pure and simple. The western equivalent would be to threaten to kill someone if they keep doing whatever it is you don't like them doing. It should be illegal in a courtroom/political setting/school etc.
At the end of the day they all get their groceries from countdown or new world or fresh choice. Nobody hunting. Nobody watching over the land. Save it for the tourists.
