Just lil' ol' me, partially blind, thinking out of the box and trying to make the most of life that flies my way. All views are my own.

Cannot thank @NHSGrampian staff at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary out patient eye department enough for the fantastic service and treatment received during my eye surgery earlier. I felt in the best of hands throughout and will be adding a comment on CareOpinion to match. Brilliant!

Pleased to accept the invite to the civic reception at the Town House yesterday to celebrate @ABZ_Airport 90th anniversary. As cochair of the airport's accessibility forum I also congratulate all staff for their fantastic work & partnership in enhancing access & inclusion for all

Proud to be part of the @NHSGrampian @R4R2024 team taking part in this year's step challenge in aid of organ donation. The challenge runs until 29 September. Every step counts, no matter your fitness level. Join Or keep track at raceforrecipients.com

Grateful to be recommended for laser surgery to correct PCO in both eyes. When depends on @NHSGrampian waiting lists. Should make my vision brighter and give me a bit longer w/ some limited but useful eyesight for some tasks e.g. orientation and location awareness.

We have comfort food, so is there such a thing as comfort tech? Still battling migraine from yesterday so ensconced in a dark corner setting up my new @SamsungUK #GalaxyWatchUltra. Love it so far. I obviously make a very bad 'do nothing' patient.

So true, there is nowhere near enough awareness of #chronicpain and its impact. Just because we continue to live, work and smile doesn't mean we are in any less agony. BBC News - Kirsty Young reveals 'loneliness' of chronic pain bbc.com/news/articles/…

Thanks to @SightScotland for the chance to visit @ThePleasance to discuss #accessibility for visually impaired guests and test drive the audio description for the show "Stuffed". Lots of hopefully useful points to feedback.

Thoroughly enjoyed Here You Come Again, the new Dolly Parton musical @APAWhatsOn inc lunch at The Terrace restaurant. Audio description via @Sennheiser mobileconnect worked perfectly and it was great to use my own comfy headphones for the 1st time. Thanks to staff for everything

This is disgusting and there should be no place for this sort of behavior in our Society. Peaceful protest is one thing but acts deliberately designed to injure innocent people passing by is intolerable.

⚠️ SAFETY ALERT It has been brought to our attention that dangerous stickers have been discovered at a railway station that, once removed, have razor blades stuck to them. Please take extreme care and do not attempt to remove them.

For those asking re @Visa Olympic & Paralympic badges I've posted, they're a promo w/ virtual prizes for using @GooglePay I'm not involved in any of these activities. The only sports I do are rifle shooting regularly and very rarely tandem biking though I wish it was more often

Hi @johnpringdns your book The Department due on 20/8 will be of Keen interest to disable ppl, esp. on benefits. Yet I'm shocked to find no record of availability as an audiobook so blind or partially cited people like me can enjoy the same access. Can you advise if this is true?

Delighted to join @InclusionScot in #Aberdeen to discuss #OurPriorities and the issues most important to #disabled people locally and nationally. Could only stay for half a day but looking forward to seeing the follow-up and what happens next

Originally devised as a rehabilitation activity for injured WWII veterans, wheelchair basketball fuelled the growth of Paralympic sports worldwide wallet.app.google/visa-paris-202…

A rare and very unusual for me early night for a 4 am start tomorrow heading back North for an early meeting on reforming the taxi Street knowledge test. Definitely a routine I don't want to get used to, but needs must..

The last time I was in Manchester was 25 years ago with Mom and Dad. We used to come down here regularly. Feels rather odd being back and the vibe of the city has definitely changed. So busy and fast-paced, just a taxi ride from the rail station was a whirlwind.

It's arrived! My pre-order of the @SamsungUK #Galaxywatch Ultra is here. Looking forward to setting it up and sending the previous watch back for trade in. Excited 😇

I'm told some people can't access the text. It says Swimming dates back to prehistoric times, but it was not until the 19th century that it became a competitive sport wallet.app.google/visa-paris-202…

I welcome this update of course, but why does it still feel as if @googlemaps equate #disability with wheelchairs and nothing else? Wouldn't it be great to know if staffing was reduced for example, for those who need their support? tomsguide.com/phones/google-…
