The problem isn't that you don't know what to work on. It's that you haven't tried anything outside of what your parents, teachers, and boss have assigned to you. You haven't experimented with life to the point of finding that one thing you can't help but work on.
If you aren't building toward something, most of your actions are meaningless and repetitive. Your relationships stay surface-level. Your work becomes robotic. Your health starts to slip. You need direction. Because without it, the only option is to get distracted.
All doing and no being is like trying to sprint while holding your breath: It’s unsustainable. After a short time you’ll find yourself on the ground gasping for air. This is burnout. Instead, allow an undercurrent of being to flow through your days and you’ll consistently go…
The true goal of education should be to aid a student in discovering the ways in which their unique mind/body/spirit complex is best equipped to serve others in this lifetime. This, I believe, is how we rapidly evolve as a society and find joy in every moment.
Most people haven't practiced thinking. When you talk to them, you aren't talking to them. You're talking to the TV. Social media. Their parents. Their teachers. Their insecurities and trauma. It's very robotic. The definition of inauthentic. Disconnect and think more.
If you can predict everything they are going to say, they aren't thinking for themselves.
