Someone just posted this on Facebook. Forming AEMO certainly did the opposite of reducing (or even maintaining) electricity prices in Australia.

In the last 48 hours, the 8GW of approved & built #Victorian windfarms produced less power than they need to operate. Even if you covered the entire state with them, you would have needed 150GW of back up battery, or a real base load power supply @LilyDAmbrosioMP @JacintaAllanMP

Bit of a stitch up this morning 393m fence measured with a good lufkin wheel 2x200m rolls of cyclone brand rolled out to 375m total. Not sure they will stretch the distance.
They don't know what the uptake will be thats why they didn't want to say whether they would cut price for non ESG producers. If enough of us tell them to shove it they will buy our stock as usual. After last year they will be lucky to get enough as it is..
