Actual sentence I have in a report: The chemical engineering department is running low on hand sanitizer as COVID-19 cases continue to rise, so the department decides to put the students to good use and have them distill isopropyl alcohol

I am running the Boston Marathon in support of MassGeneral for Children's Pediatric Cancer program! Please consider supporting this amazing organization via my fundraiser below. Every dollar goes toward funding pediatric cancer care and innovation. givengain.com/project/camero…

Got on a plane this morning from @ASEE_DC after having great conversations about DEI, race, and gender with fellow educators and landed hearing the Supreme Court’s decision. Just another reason for us to keep working and continuing these conversations.

It’s still a weird feeling when I sell my soul on a 4-hour 1600m elevation gain hike in Switzerland and arrive at the top with people who took a funicular/ gondola. But going down the steepest cog in the world feels well deserved after the climb.

In one month I arrive in a country with legal abortions, one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the world with no mass shootings (in like 20y), accessible and affordable public transit… the past few months have solidified my desire to leave the US the moment I have my PhD

Not me biking home, seeing someone from my incoming cohort, blanking on his name and yelling “hey boilermaker” because I knew he went to Purdue. Turns out he’s here for the summer and I remembered his name five seconds later
