Kemi Badenoch tells Keir Starmer that "we had a Budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards." So here's the 'go slow' protest by farmers that blockaded the streets around Parliament following the last Conservative Budget
Left: Helen Whately, "We handed over to Labour much lower debt than we had inherited" Right: Peter Kyle, "There are facts in public debate.. Debt was £800 billion in 2010, it was £2.6 trillion in 2024"
In 2023 BBC News reported that Brexit is the reason why the Vauxhall plant may close down costing 1,500 jobs In 2024, there's little mention of Brexit being the reason why it's closing down. Why?
Kemi Badenoch at #PMQs: "We had a budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards." Here are the tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall in March, protesting - you really couldn't make this up - Badenoch's trade policies. 😂
Czytelnicy Polityki nie chcą żartów z rządu Tuska
Andrzej Mleczko po 45 latach odchodzi z Polityki. Przetrwał komuchów z PRLu. Nie przetrwał tuskowej cenzury.
It's weird how they never mentioned that...
Fiu fiu…
Nice to see Putin paying for weapons for the Ukrainians. We now need to take all of the Russian reserves held in the West and use them for the same purpose
You’ve got to admit, a majority of the country voting for a man because of the “price of goods are too high”, only for him to increase prices on his first day in office, has to be regarded as one of the greatest social experiments of all time.
Trump announces blanket tariffs on goods imported from Canada, Mexico, and China
The anti immigration mob have no problem using foreigners to sign petition on British democracy. Cute
The people who are signing the petition to Call a General Election.
Express burries one small detail as it blasts Labour for handing £536 million to ‘foreign farmers’ Almost all of the aid grants that make up the £500m total quoted were given by Conservative governments thelondoneconomic.com/news/media/exp…
How many times do I need to say this? These are not expats, they are immigrants. You don’t “expat” somewhere, you emigrate, and that makes you an immigrant. I have never heard anyone refer to “Bangladeshi Expats” or “Polish Expats”, it’s always immigrants, so why not here?
I come back every few months to laugh at this

In a survey for Farmers Weekly last year, 83 per cent of famers polled said Brexit had been worse than expected; 52 per cent supported a referendum on rejoining the EU; and 70 per cent supported rejoining the single market. inews.co.uk/opinion/an-inc…
Honestly, what happened to the political right in this country? You used to be all "Brexit means Brexit" and "You lost, suck it up!" and now you're all "You lied! Please sign my petition!" and "Uncle Elon, please come and interfere in our politics!". Sad to witness your decline
Left: Boris Johnson says there shouldn't be another vote because there was one just a few years ago Right: Keir Starmer trying not to laugh at mostly Conservatives calling for another general election less than five months in
Sad story in The Times about 88 year old farmer, John Kemp-Welch, who works 5,000 acres of difficult hill farming land in Scotland. Fortunately, he somehow found time to be Chair of the London Stock Exchange, a stockbroker for 30 years and on the board of HSBC.
Here’s a short story about who wins and loses from the status quo of our inheritance tax rules - and about, what you might politely call ‘sub-optimal’ journalism🧵
