📣Calling all Prestonfield and Priestfield residents! ❓Have you seen the proposed plans for Prestonfield Bowling Green? 🔗Make sure you have a look on the link below and tell us what you think. 📆 Closes Friday 15th November
We are seeking feedback from the community in Prestonfield on draft designs for the former bowling green located next to Cameron House Community Education Centre. Draft design and survey here: surveymonkey.com/r/Prestonfield2 or paper copies available from Cameron House next week.
Our Redhall walkers were delighted to finally walk from Colinton village to Colinton Dell, via Dell Road. This path had a landslip a few years ago and was closed, so we haven't ever walked this route. These walking routes provide such beauty and peace.
Our Tuesday Oxgangs walkers indulged in all things trees during our latest walk. We took our adventure through Redford Woods and into Dreghorn Woods beyond. The weather was perfect and there was an amazing sense of calmness amongst the woodlands.
Thank you to all the volunteers from Friends of Seven Acre Park who joined us on Saturday to build a new hibernaculum as part of the biodiversity improvements in the park.

This week is #TrusteeWeek and we want to say a huge thank you to our amazing board of trustees who volunteer their brilliant skills, valuable time and incredible energy so that we can continue to improve greenspaces for the benefit of people and nature.

Our Redhall walkers took a wander to see the pretty Dovecot at the top of the Craiglockhart Dell. Its star is now visible over the tree tops as the leaves have fallen from surrounding trees. It was a lovely walk and put us all in a positive mood.
Our latest Nordic walk took us up Corstorphine Hill where we explored the woodland trails and views from the top. Worth the Hill effort! Great exercise and great company.
Our weekly group at Ferniehill Surgery allows local people to drop in as the like but also for the practice to do some green prescribing, offering longterm impacts in a sustainable way for their patients. #StressAwarenessWeek #greenprescribing #Wellbeing #walkingforhealth
Thank you to @EDF_Renewables for volunteering with us. Volunteers carried out tasks at Hailes Quarry Park including woodland maintenance, building a habitat pile, wee forest weeding & litter picking. Great job! @Edinburgh_CC @EdinOutdoors #HabitatCreation #WildlifeHabitat
Join us every Tuesday through winter for a short walk up to the viewpoint at Little France Park. @EdinOutdoors @EdinburghCCAN @EdinburghBQ @NHS_Lothian @nhslothcharity @SEStran @EdinburghUni
Following the EIJB meeting on 1 November the board have agreed to postpone the planned grant cuts to 64 organisations across Edinburgh until end of March 2025. In the meantime we will continue to deliver our planned programmes of healthy lifestyle activities.
Sign a petition by 2.30 today to avoid critical funding withdrawal for local organisations: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… It takes 45 seconds.
Oxgangs really does have the best views! Our walkers were delighted to be out in such beautiful conditions, getting some fresh air with good company.
Our Redford Woods volunteers have been busy planting more Guelder rose in our little native tree plantation to diversify the area for pollinating insects. We can't wait to see them growing and flowering next spring...
