My new book is available at bit.ly/GLAMmarketing "Marketing Plans in Action: A Step-by-Step Guide for Libraries, Archives, and Cultural Organizations" contains 72 time-saving guides to streamline your processes.
Final version of the longer writing project has been submitted! I'll have something published this fall and next spring. I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to say what they are are. :-)
Article submitted! The next writing assignment is due next week.
It's my year to return to professional writing. This article so far clocks in at 1,868 words. The other piece is much longer. They're on very different topics. If anyone else needs something, let me know!
Very tired and can't find this -- is it possible to search the App Store from the browser? I need to find a link.
Last night, I spent time working on a fun project for my brain: trying to build an automation flow to connect two work tools together. Did I get anywhere? No. Did I have fun? Yes.
Thought I was going to miss my train so I ran breakneck down the platform. It was not -- the previous train was late. Mine is 20 minutes late. It's good to find out that I can still take off running like that!
I'm writing a piece about setting up our discovery layer. I have no idea how to reference myself in the third person. Do I just use librarian? Web designer?
You can stump ChatGPT & Bard by asking them to plan a roadtrip where you stop every 2 hours at a type of location. They can't do it yet. Bard goes in the opposite direction of the destination. ChatGPT can be corrected on that but goes through the city you say to avoid.
The most inspiring thing I've seen at #CILDC were kind acts. People were so helpful to one another. And s/o to the bus driver who saw me walking around looking for a stop that no longer exists (😑 @ several apps) and taking me to my destination anyway.
The good thing about CIL requiring me to submit my slides weeks ago is that they're already submitted. Tonight, I spent 2.5 hours going back over my presenter notes and updating them. I've learned a few new things recently that I can share. Learning is an active process.
My deepest, darkest secret is that I actually enjoy CSS. 😬

I haven't felt inspired or excited about anything regarding web design trends in years. Then I look up 2023 trends and saw layouts that don't scream Bootstrap. Reader, I felt my heart leap.
It's been four years, but I'm back to writing about marketing for a publication.
Is anyone else having trouble with childcare providers ghosting you on the meet-and-greet? It's happened four times in the past month.
The first hurdle was making our new catalog match our current website's design. Now I'm matching it to the new design (launches soon!). tinyurl.com/2x7jd2da
Improved my life by adding a Z_Archive Gmail label then moving everything but my top labels in there.
