TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ Here is a video of Scott explaining how the military is underrepresented in the news.
Scott was telling how to avoid stereotypes when reporting in the media. Apart of that is not asking a veteran "How many people did you kill" or "what's the craziest fight you had". Instead try asking about the mundane and universal experiences of military life.
A huge part of the issue with media and reporting on the military is the civilian disconnect. Here are some statistics that show how disconnected the world is with the military.
