This quote is from our Big Mental Health Report, which came out last week. The report shows the scale of the mental health crisis. It’s a clear, consistent source of information to lay out what’s happening right now in England and Wales, and what needs to change.
I still think this is a great wee exercise video made during those dark Covid times. Obviously I'm biased though! #pulmonaryrehabilitation #WorldCOPDDay
Too cold to go for a walk outside, why not try our exercise video instead?-20 minutes long and 3 different options which make it suitable for all fitness levels. #WorldCOPDDay #pulmonaryrehabilitation
Eternal shame @Keir_Starmer @DavidLammy @RishiSunak @David_Cameron How can any leader arm, support, enable, give impunity to a country,on trial of genocide: committing mass slaughter of people. Mass slaughter, maiming, burning, orphaning & traumatising tens thousands of children?
When Al Jazeera revealed the US 🇺🇸 & UK 🇬🇧 as partners in Israel’s 🇮🇱 genocide: •More than 6,000 military flights, 100s delivering weapons •More than 1200 military cargo flights for Israel’s 🇮🇱 ‘air bridge’ •645 UK 🇬🇧 surveillance flights alone. The UK 🇬🇧 is guilty.

In Iran, a student harassed by her university’s morality police over her “improper” hijab didn’t back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campus—defying a regime that constantly controls women’s bodies. Her act is a powerful…
Shame indeed
Absolutely have to call-out Isobel Oakeshott. To say benefit claimants are 'parasites', sit on the sofa, drive their 'free motability' is completely outrageous. At @scope we call out ableism. Call out discrimination. And to not let language like this go unchecked. Shame.

Important and devastating thread. Hospitals were reluctant to go against IPC guidance. Many of us tried hard to raise concerns, to protect ourselves and others, but ultimately could not effect change because ‘national guidance’.
COVID INQUIRY I’ve posted a number of tweets from the Inquiry hearing on 16 Sept. This was the day that Dr Lisa Ritchie took the stand. She chaired the IPC Cell which wrote the Covid infection control guidance for UK hospitals. I’ve collated all the tweets in this thread 🧵
I think it's totally wrong that we have the Triple Lock for the State Pension, but disability benefits only increase by inflation each year and don't have any protection. It means disabled people will always be seen as second-class citizens in society, and it's disgusting.
i wish people had got 1% as angry about the tories saddling young people with insane student debt; reducing benefits from the poorest people; and the constant stagnation in wages in this country, as they are getting over rich pensioners losing £200 they don’t need
The fine line between male and female intelligence. 😂
As if we're having to say this in 2024, but we’ll say it again because stigma has real world consequences: 📢 mental health problems are real 📢 the national mental health crisis is real Some recent articles have been lacking facts and evidence, so let us share some (1/6)
Personal Independence Payment is not about whether you can work, it's about the additional cost of living with a long-term health condition or disability. But while we're on the topic of work - being too unwell to work is not a choice. (4/6)
While we celebrate A level results today, think of the disabled kids who’ll never be able to do sixth form because local authorities refuse to provide them with transport.
Staggering to think of thousands of disabled kids over 16 up and down the country not sure whether they can go to school in September because local authorities are refusing to provide transport. So awful for everyone involved.
Hero
This man, Abdhullah, deserves some recognition. He heard the screams of the 11 yr old child & her mother being stabbed, ran to help them & GRABBED THE KNIFE from the attacker?! He’s nothing short of a hero 🙏
