With Oregon's Senator Ron Wyden & Rep. Cliff Bentz trying to outdo each other with awful grazing Bills to placate whining Welfare Ranchers, we'll be posting photos showing how Malheur County Owyhee Canyonlands are being destroyed by these coddled cattlemen. Antelope Creek area

OMG, this is such an important point. A=πr2, people. Shrinking the radius of by-right multifamily zoning from 0.5 to 0.25 miles from a subway station means reducing the eligible area from 0.79 to 0.2 square miles. Da fuck.

That's a 75% cut in TOD area. Willing to bet the average councilmember thinks they only cut it in half.

ah, great news for those in favor of continuing the housing crisis

Deal emerging on City of Yes: • Parking mandates will vary by 3 zones (exact areas TBD) • Substantial carveouts for ADUs: banned in flood/coastal zones, & historic districts. Also banned in some low-density zoning districts: R1-2A, R2A & R3A. • ADUs capped at 1 story (cont.)

big fan of the widening of bike lanes in nyc recently. they’re surprisingly crowded (many bikes motorcycles etc, plus pedestrians potholes garbage broken glass cars traffic cones etc) it’s easier to maneuver and also a better chance at visibility of pedestrians crossing etc

This is the kind of of width I’m talking about!! Real proper bike lanes going in on 31st Ave in Astoria:

They announced a new police commissioner, wouldn't take questions on it -- saying instead we can ask next Monday at the swearing in -- and nobody can say who the new sanitation commissioner is, even in an interim capacity.

Congrats on being appointed the city's second female police commissioner! We snuck it in alongside our November budget modification press conference as a surprise ❤️

Between plunging the last knife into the heart of the record industry, and platforming Joe Rogan, the amount of damage that Spotify has done to our community is almost too much to contemplate.

slash-and-burn republicans, austerity dems, rinse-repeat

so, is the plan to just let all NYC parks incrementally burn to ash due to daily brush fires?
