I think I've never been more excited for a minor Godot release. 4.3 is going to be BONKERS

Super impressed with how well the Framework 13 runs under Linux! I didn't see a big difference when testing WSL vs Linux on the 14900K Intel, but with this AMD 7840U, there's a large advantage. +25% on Speedometer 3 and +25% on my HEY test suite run!

So my Framework 13 w/ AMD 7840U (8 cores) runs our HEY test suite faster than my M2 MacBook Air (8 cores). But the M2 can hit 30 on Speedometer 3.0 vs the Framework 13 only doing 18. Why is this? Special JS instructions in M chips?

Officially looking for work, I guess. Full stack engineer with 20 years experience, a lot of it on Rails and non-rails Ruby systems. Excel at backend, but comfortable at all levels of the stack. Only interested in remote work. Ideally async :) RT for reach, please?

We’ve closed the loop! @dhh, who created Ruby on Rails (which our site runs on) picked up a Framework Laptop.

Love @FrameworkPuter Read the whole post. Ran both that and a 14900K desktop for my Windows adventure.

One of my new favorite command line tools is fzf. Use it to fuzzy find anything, not just files. github.com/junegunn/fzf

We're tearing down the Framework 16. We did get this hardware a bit early, but our opinions are our own, and when you see this, we think you’ll understand why we’re so impressed. View the full teardown below. bit.ly/42buR1b#iFixit

TIL `rails db:migrate:redo` which will roll back your latest migration and run it again. Often I would create a new migration, migrate, and then realize I needed another column added. Roll back, add the column, and migrate again. `db:migrate:redo` does that for you :) ..I wish I…

💡 Rails middleware deep dive: in this thread we'll cover ActionDispatch::Executor This middleware is quite technical, but is important for understanding features like Active Record query cache or async queries. ⚠️ Brace for a longer and more technical deep dive! ⬇️ Let's go!

Rails logs files are unchecked: they can grow to whatever size imaginable. Not anymore, there's a new config option in Rails to keep log files from taking over disk space!
