Hearing Game Scoop’s Sam and Mark’s experience with Stalker 2 on Xbox convinced me to not even bother trying it. I wasn’t excited originally, and hearing about all the performance issues sealed the deal for me.
Started playing Blood Omen Legacy of Kain this morning on PS5, as part of the PS Plus Classics Collection. As expected the videos are very grainy, but the actual gameplay looks pretty good. I always loved this one back in the day. 😄🙌
Rolled credits on Lake this morning. Overall it’s a great game that I really really enjoyed. It’s very much a cozy game. There isn’t much in the way of action or even story but I still loved it. If the developer could fix some of the graphic pop-in it would be even better.
Can I tell you just how much I’m still enjoying chilling out, delivering mail, and seeing Meredith develop new friendships in Lake? It’s such a beautiful game in its own way, and just SO damn relaxing.

Rolled credits on Neva this morning. Some mixed feelings on this one. Gris was an absolute work of art, but Neva didn’t reach the same heights for me. It’s not a bad game by any means, but I felt the combat was uninspired at best, and downright annoying at times.

Been playing While We Wait Here. The description says it’s a restaurant simulator but it’s a lot more of a narrative adventure told from different perspectives. It’s really cool. Creepy too.
The next T-16 launch game I’ll play for Turbo Times is Alien Crush 🙌 I did test it briefly once upon a time long ago in a galaxy far far away, but this time I’m going to see how far I can get and really give it a go 👽 if anyone has memories of playing it let me know
Just rolled credits for the first time on Keith Courage in Alpha Zones for the TurboGrafx-16. Keith was the launch pack-in game back in 1989. Overall I think it was pretty fun and I’ll be sharing more thoughts soon in my Turbo Times T-16 fanzine 😄
Recently rolled credits on Gris and now I’ve jumped into that studio’s new game: Neva. Gris is one of the most beautiful and artistic games I’ve ever played, so Neva has a lot to live up to, but so far so good.

Rolled credits on Under the Waves this morning. Wow. What a great experience. The ocean is beautiful and offers lots of exploration options beyond the main story. The game is on PS Plus now and I highly recommend it.
Just rolled credits on Spooky Pixel Hero, the latest game in the DERE EXE series of meta horror pixel platformers. Cool game with shockingly good touch controls. You should check it out. I played it on iOS but you can get it on Steam or the Google Play store.

I've been busy creating assets for the Steam page (the main art is finished!) and focusing on the technical part of the code. On the cool side, enemies now have life bars (useful for finishing moves) and berserk status, for more fluid combat! #gamedev #indiegame
Rolled credits on #DeadIsland2 tonight. Didn’t know if I’d make it through the final boss fight because the combat gets really repetitive towards the end and I was getting frustrated. Luckily I was able to do it though and check another game off my list this year.
