As a solo Shopify app developer, my earnings now exceed my dreams, but this success wasn't immediate. Over 4 years, I offered comprehensive website development services on Fiverr, often receiving just $5 per task. I was featured as the "developer of the week" on CodeCanyon but…

My app, Pxl, was updated to version 2024-10 in production today. It was a significant effort to rewrite a large part of the app, especially due to the new GraphQL endpoints to handle product images. Happy it’s finally live in prod and excited to shift my focus to new projects!

Big thanks to @SammyIsseyegh from @DiscountKit for helping us set up a very specific use case during our migration from WP to Shopify for my girlfriend’s store. Many orders already processed with discounts created via @DiscountKit, and it works perfectly!

Wake up babe, new landing page just dropped 😏 discountkit.app

I've spent 3 months migrating my image processing app to the 2024-10 GraphQL API, and it's been very complicated. Still struggling with limitations—like not being able to convert an image in one call with fileUpdate, unlike the REST API. So frustrating! 😩

Exactly. I know many app developers who do that, and I always thought it was very unfair and unethical. I'm happy about this change.

Nice change from Shopify! Finally an end to the "Contact support to remove branding" crap that apps are using to get reviews

Checkout seems to be down 😬. Is Shopify pushing updates in preparation for BFCM? Good luck to the dev team @Shopify 😉

Thank you so much, @liam_at_shopify! It means a lot! Ordering from a store that’s fully in French may not have been easy, haha. Our next goal is to work on localization!

Unreal Axel! Store looks incredible :) Just ordered an early christmas present for my wife :)

Finally! After 3 full months of work, my girlfriend's store at pastryandtravel.com is now on Shopify after 4 years on WordPress (WooCommerce). Already hearing those satisfying 'cha-chings' just 2 hours in! Excited to experience things from a real merchant's perspective! 🤩

Is it normal that no API warnings show up in the Partners Dashboard for apps not fully migrated to the new GraphQL products API? Also, will REST endpoints completely stop working on Feb 1st? My migration will be done by then, just curious! 🤔

I’m almost done migrating my photo related app from REST API to GraphQL. Honestly, it wasn’t easy—handling Media IDs, Image IDs, sync vs async photo creation, etc. Glad it's nearly production-ready! It took 2 months (as a solo dev) for a small app 🥲

While migrating my girlfriend's site to Shopify, she used an app to import old orders but forgot to disable another app that sends emails when an order is created. We stopped the process after about 300/11000 imports... Looks like a busy afternoon of support calls for her 😅

Done! Hard work pays off! This is my 3rd app with BFS status. Still as a solo Shopify app developer. My goal is to achieve it on my 4th app—the biggest and most complex one—by the end of Q1 2025. Let's go!

Losing a customer is always tough, especially due to health issues. But receiving messages like this means so much. It goes far beyond just earning money as a Shopify partner—I’m truly grateful to be helping merchants every day.

If I understand correctly, to replace an image, I need to: 1. Update the product with the new image (productUpdate) 2. Reorder it to the correct position (productReorderMedia) 3. Delete the old image (productDeleteMedia) This seems VERY complicated for a simple img src update 😮‍💨

The GraphQL mutation productImageUpdate is being deprecated (just when I implemented it 🤪). It's being replaced by productUpdateMedia, but productUpdateMedia doesn't allow me to update the image src. Or am I wrong?

Facing a random infinite loop with the latest AppBridge version. Saw an issue opened on GitHub: github.com/Shopify/shopif…. Anyone else experiencing this?
