Dear Colleagues & Friends, would you please help us find candidates for PhD positions (tinyurl.com/4c5kdenb) at the forefront of both science (#physics #optics #nanophotonics) and real applications (see YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=RBYI-T…)? Thank you! Gracias! Merci! Danke! 🙏

Great to see this out! nature.com/articles/s4146… We show microcavity-like polaritons can be the primary photoexcitation in organic semiconductors. Massive effort with a lot of fantastic colleagues! @DeptofPhysics @RaoGroupCAM @OxfordChemistry @CornellChem @ucsd_yuen @cu_mat

This short animated video shows how a new technique developed by Junyang Huang et al. at the Cavendish's NanoPhotonics Centre can trap light down to a fantastically-small scale to watch the chemistry of a single proton in real time. 👉🏼phy.cam.ac.uk/news/watching-… @greenishoufront

Plain case of exploitation #yoruba #Yorubaisnotforsale

Did you know that @TimbuktuGlobal a retail company owned by two WHITE-BRITISH people from Lancashire who have no affiliation with Yoruba language or tribe have trademarked the word ‘YORUBA’ and are opposing anyone else from using it? A THREAD:

Question for academics: What is the most popular topic of discussion with your colleagues in academia during lunches/dinners/coffee breaks?

Thanks to my friend @olumuyiwaayo for organising this. I’m looking for to it.

Good to watch this exchange. Thank you Dr Shola! It is not surprising to see people who defend racist actions based on some unreasonable logic. it is very typical in such elitist system. I’m glad that they are called out #HarryandMeghan

The Queen is not above reproach. She & the Royal Family are neither faultless or perfect. They have a case to answer for the failure to support #HarryandMeghan from racism/ hate media which led to them stepping back royal duties. #HarryandMeghanonOprah #OprahMeghanHarry #GMB

I raised the shocking killings of #EndSars protestors in #Lagos #Nigeria #Lekkitollgate this morning in @HouseofCommons with @FCDOGovUK Minister Nigel Adams. I am horrified by the reports I am receiving. UK Government must urgently raise at the highest levels with #Nigeria ⬇️

Whatever this is about PR or what, it means nothing now. The bloody operation was tactically carried out under your watch and no ‘heartbreak’ message will restore the dead. Please resign! It shows you are unable to protect the citizens #EndSARS #LekkitollgateMassacre

Watching these videos is a major heartbreak for me personally and as Governor, I cannot watch as arsonists, hoodlums and anarchists continue to hide under the #EndSars protest to unleash mayhem on the State and wantonly disrupt citizens lives and property.

Who thought about the idea of shooting innocent citizens? Who planned it? who gave the order? who executed the plan? @MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo @jidesanwoolu @AsiwajuTinubu have to answer Nigerians and the whole world. #EndSARS #Lekkitollgate @IntlCrimCourt

Thank you for the prompt response. Looking forward to prompt actions, hopefully there will be something done soon #XenophobicAttacks #SouthAfrica #Xenophobia

Received sickening and depressing news of continued burning and looting of Nigerian shops and premises in #SouthAfrica by mindless criminals with ineffective police protection. Enough is enough. We will take definitive measures. @NigeriaGov @DigiCommsNG @GovernmentZA @DIRCO_ZA

This is one of the founding fathers of #Nigeria boldly endorsing tribalism. Sadly this mentality hasn’t change after all these years. Until we #Hausa , #Igbo and #Yoruba and everyone come together as one, we won’t grow; nepotism and corruption will still be the order of the day.

This was and still is Northern mentality towards Igbos and the rest of the nation.....
