As it was such a beautiful day a trip to a colder Dartmoor was a must. highlights ,my first Fieldfare (30+) of the season & a nice surprise to see a Red Kite over Cherry brook. 6 light form Buzzards 2 (f) Sparrowhawks chasing Redwings & Starlings & a (m) Bullfinch @dartmoornpa

The 3 Amigo's, Dick Rupert & myself went to Steart Marshes for a few hours, 36 species of bird & distant Cranes!! 300+ Golden Plover and 200+ Lapwing 200+ Wigeon & Teal being harrassed by a Buzzard 2 Peregrines Sparrow Hawk a Kestrel & Marsh Harrier the sky was full @WWTSteart

The Budleigh Snow Buntings were showing well again today thank goodness. First chance I've had so I was well pleased to see them in good light. Plenty of interest by the general public which was good to see and all were keeping their distance even the dogs!! What lovely Birds

Alway distant but great to see Ring Ousels on Dartmoor passing thro' this time of year. Plenty of Berries about at the moment, however with well over 250+ Redwings feeding on them at this location they wont last long.... @DevonWildlife @dartmoornpa @DevonBirds

Here is what a 15 foot hurricane storm surge looks like folks.


21 Chough counted to around Kynance Cove Cornwall this afternoon. Great sight and sound. No ringed birds seen however 11 very nervous and flighty. @CBWPS1


Just got back from a house and pet sit in the Dordogne France this week. Interesting wildlife around the garden and adjoining fields. Some lovely birds Butterflies moths and reptiles including this European Green Lizard which kept us company on the patio! #France
