Great insights on Georgia criminal law and procedure from @ASFleischman

I recorded an episode with Opening Arguments talking about some of the things news outlets aren't covering about the Georgia prosecution: non-negotiated pleas, lengthy justification hearings, and criminal discovery. openargs.com

Twitterverse, any tips on telephonic oral arguments before appellate courts? Bonus points for tips on arguments before the Eleventh Circuit. #appellatetwitter

I sat down (virtually, of course) with Dan Wiessner to discuss employer options for hiring during the pandemic. #seyfarth #hiring #recruiting #backgroundcheck #backgroundscreening #fcra #cra

Anyone who can help provide BSL-3 PPE? Please share with others who may be able to help.

#COVID19 #SOS To my professional colleagues & anyone out there who can help; we are seriously low on BSL-3 PPE. COVID-19 research will be compromised if we run out of them. #FaceShields #EyeProtection (googles), #Disposable booties, anything for additional barrier of prevention.

Now might be a good time to talk about how immoral certificate of need laws are. Forcing a medical provider to obtain a permission slip from his future competitors hurts patients, providers, and communities while reducing care options.

Interesting thread.

Today, @CrimeADay has tweeted one federal crime every day for five years. In 1790, it would have taken under a month to count them all at that rate. It's going to take just a little bit longer today, but I'm getting there:

Interesting.

Interesting: class settlement websites run by Heffler will have real-time data on claims rates to meet ND Cal's new transparency rules. Could be useful for courts, litigants, and researchers. #classactions

Visited the grave of my friend’s father and witnessed a remarkable ceremony. The letters on the white crosses almost disappear in the brightness of the stone, so a soldier fills the indentations with sand from Omaha Beach to bring the name forward. It sent shivers down my spine.

Fascinating read it is.

Missed @NAPBS midyear but won a directed verdict today in a #FCRA case. Sharp trial team and worthy OC made for a great trial. Thanks to @pdevata and @SLBlecher of @seyfarthshawLLP for covering my #NAPBS19 panels. #backgroundcheck #creditreport

Kudos to @Delta for having extra staff to help and many, many thanks to the @TSA staff who showed up to work without pay instead of calling in sick. If you’re traveling during the shutdown, thank the TSA workers!
