Here is a short video of one of the 1st Klamath River salmon to make it to the tributaries above the former Iron Gate Dam. The clip was recorded last Friday by Yurok Fisheries Dept Geologist Kayah Ray, who is part of a team surveying salmon in the newly undammed river reach.

For the first time in 114 years, biologists from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife have observed a fall-run Chinook salmon returning to spawn in the Klamath Basin in Oregon, after dam removal.

Fun to be part of a great celebration event put on by White Mountain Apache Tribe and USFWS. The Apache Trout has been delisted!

Yesterday at Hawley Lake, Fort Apache Indian Reservation, @TroutUnlimited received this Tomelleri print for the collective efforts of the AZ TU Council and chapters, AZ TU staff, and TU science staff for their work with partners on Apache Trout conservation.
