PUCs: things people who practice in front of commissions: 1. Understaffed. Juniors get senior titles to draw them into the agencies. Makes up for low pay & crazy hours. 2. Many need tons of consultants because understaffed. Guidehouse, Synapse etc. & DOE Fellows- very valuable.
It's time to bring this up again. Most residential HVAC installs are abysmal. I know of one $100M company that has a 34% callback rate on new installs. That tells you that far more than that have issues. Efficiency standards have made equipment far more sensitive than it used…

Why is it so easy to transfer ownership of a utility account without clear proof of residence or property ownership? It simplifies transferring utility obligations between renters, but it seems odd and rife for abuse.
While this may be good from the standpoint of rapid resource development, it may not bode well for community acceptance, as larger projects tend to be seen less favorably by their local neighbors - emp.lbl.gov/publications/p…

I don't get excited about most new energy tech, but this is exciting, I hope it's as useful as it seems!
