I honestly sit down each day and feel so blessed I work in a school that sees me as a person. Recognises that my family situation isn’t ideal but if it isn’t supported, they won’t get a teacher who can deliver what they need. SLT. My plea. Support your staff.

I hate the assumption people have that leaving an abusive relationship is easy… I tried to end the relationship multiple times but I “wasn’t allowed to make that decision as it was his to make” whether intentional or not saying this is victim blaming, we need to do better!

Do you think those that don’t work in education truly understand how much work school staff do, that is above and beyond the remit that schools are set up to deliver? Food parcels, co-ordinating multi agency meetings, supporting families… so much more than academic curriculum!
