2 April 1930 | A Czech Jewish girl, Daisy Lowositzová, was born in Prague. She was deported to #Auschwitz from the #Theresienstadt ghetto on 23 October 1944. She was murdered in a gas chamber.
2 April 1942 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Mietje Blok, was born in The Hague. She arrived at #Auschwitz on 14 December 1942 in a transport of 757 Jews deported from the occupied Netherlands. She was among the 636 people murdered after selection in a gas chamber.
April 2, 1912 | Erna Bronnerová is born in Prague .A Jew, she is deported in Sept. 1942 to #Terezín, where she survives the “selektion”. In January 1943 she perished in #Auschwitz. She was deported with 2,000 people. Only 1 became prisoner. 1,999 were gassed upon arrival.

#OTD in 1942, the deportation of Jews from France to Auschwitz began. Born in Paris, Edouard Arditti was one of some 1,000 Jews on this transport. He was registered at Auschwitz as prisoner 27863 and died approximately one month after arriving.
