Truly a fantastic article on the challenges related to the study of misinformation. Despite the increasing number of studies on the issue, there are still so many open questions! science.org/content/articl…

Bellissima testimonianza!

A fascinating take on why the problem is not just fake news but misinformation. Having better-informed citizens should be the goal of any democracy. The main challenge is still reconciling this with freedom of speech and avoiding paternalism. scientificamerican.com/article/combat…

Last day at @jku_econ It has been a great experience with lots of interesting discussions and especially with a lot of fun. A great department with truly great people who I will definitely miss! Now back to @WU_econ for the last year of Postdoc and the job market!

concerns about ethno-cultural change induced by immigration are central to understanding the populist vote in the US & Europe; so, to a lesser extent, is rural resentment & status anxiety. journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/73…

A quick take on the French elections. Is the government stronger than it was before the European elections? Is it more capable of addressing the issues pushing the far-right to such a high vote share? I think these are the questions we should ask, the rest is just noise

La risposta è stata NO. 🧵

Just back from @nberpubs Political Economy (& Cultural Econ) meeting. Always very energizing for me. Got several young APs asking about outlook for the field & PE job market. 1/N
